Eco Friendly Pest Control for Cockroaches

Cockroaches are unwelcome house-guests and often become problematic pests in homes and businesses. A quick call to the exterminator usually solves your cockroach problem but often results in a house full of chemicals.

These chemicals have a negative impact on your surroundings because the can persist in environment for up to two years. They are toxic to mammals, birds, fish, aquatic invertebrates, and bees.

Gasp ! Did you also say BEES? Yes, we did!

Here are some environmentally friendly solutions for eradicating cockroaches:

Make some Dough

Combine 1 part borax, 2 parts flour, and 1/2 parts icing sugar. Then add water and mix into a dough. Place dough in areas where cockroaches frequent, but out of reach of pets and children.

Drown 'Em

A small container of water with a teaspoon of oil can attract cockroaches. They will climb in and be unable to get out and will eventually die.

Sprinkle 'Em

Sprinkle borax powder where roaches are active. It will collect on their bodies, be licked off and then kill the insects. Again, keep out of reach of pets and children.
