Articles > Lemon Aid Cleanse: Salt vs. Laxative Tea.
It seems the bulk of my emails and phone calls have been about the "internal salt water bathing" as referred to by Mr. Stanley Burroughs as necessary to bathe the inside of our bodies. BTW: I am writing this as I am MENTALLY preparing to drink mine.
If for some reason the salt water cannot be taken each morning, it is advisable according to Burroughs, to take a laxative tea each morning and night.
It has been reported by some, including Tom Woloshyn, that the laxative effects can possibly be more like diarrhea throughout the day but the salt flush seems to be over when it's over.
I agree that drinking tea does sound more appealing than swigging a quart of salt water but there are ways of getting it down. Woloshyn suggests giving yourself at least 10 minutes to finish it as opposed to slamming it so you won't throw up. He recommends warming the water to body temperature first.
Also, imagine drinking a salty broth instead. He says he switches out and does the salt flush on day 1, then again on day 3 or 4, and finally on day 7 or 8.
